We’ve been going on about Twitter here on the Webbuilt4u bog for quite a while, we have our own company account that you can follow here and a couple of members of staff use it as well. It’s been invaluable in our quest for better staff, better designers and better develoepers. But this week it seems to have well and truly entered the mainstream.
It all started a week ago, on Jonathan Ross’s Friday night talk show. The programme was always going to be a ratings winner with Jonathans return to the spotlight after his recent suspension for his Radio two antics with Russel Brand. His guest was Stephen Fry, and they discussed Twitter for a few minutes. Then early this week, the housewives favourite Philip Schofield introduced “this Morning” with a big waffle about Twitter.
Also GMTV mentioned it with Lorraine Kelly, although I can’t find a video of that one. So you will have to believe me on that one.
This appears to have lef to an explosion of UK Celebrities using the latest social networking tool. This morning I have been doing a bit of digging about and found the following people, this morning. I’m sure there are loads more, and as and when I find them I’ll post them each week.
Anyway what else on the internet has impressed me this week?
This thing about a load of applications for following the news on your iphone, was a nice feature in mashable last week
The new Google Drive thingamajig that seems like it is going to be a reality.
Showing us some nice magazine themes for wordpress, one of those things that will come in handy one day.
Thats it for this week.
Have a good week and I’ll be back next Friday
