Blimey, 2009 is here already. Only seems like yesterday that we were looking forward to the Millennium celebrations. And here we are ten years later, I’ve lost most of the hair on my head, got married, got a baby on the way and learned a hell of a lot about Search engines in the process.
So what do we have too look forward to in 2009 from the team here at Webbuilt4u. Well we will continue optimising, reporting and generally looking after our clients with as much love and attention as you can put up with. We have lots of new ideas on the horizon for internal systems that will help us deliver quicker and better. With all the recent changes that Google have been making. We will be concentrating more on Analytics reporting, and using some new techniques the marketing department have been implementing over the past few days, we will be focusing less on the actual Google positions that people are being found under in the search engines (don’t worry, we will still be sending them out) biut we will be now using analytics more to turn those visitors we send to your website into customers.
We will be pushing our more internet savvy clients in the direction of Social Media Marketing. We have been doing this in the background for a couple of years now, But in the next few weeks we will be harnessing the power of these so called web 2.0 websites and linking up all the various tools we use here on our website.
We also have a couple of new tools that we are using for email marketing, not spam. Email marketing. If you are thinking of asking us too send a newsletter, or sales letter to an email address database you have acquired, please don’t we are quite strict about this as we hate Spam as much as you and we will be in close contact with our multi award wininning hosts, UKFAST to make sure that our spam measures are improved as there seems to be a couple of gremlins still getting through. Nowhere near as much as it used to be with our previous hosts but we still get a couple of cunning emails that slip through the net.

It’s been a few weeks since I have done one of my Links round up. So here’s a few things that have caught my eye since I last wrote.

This will tell you exactly what is going on in the marketing department at any point in the work day, Matt and his gang of SEO and PPC monkeys will be updating this as and when they start some work on whatever. This thing about some utter idiots who decided to hack some twitter accounts of famous people. Now if you are going to do this, and you are deciding which celebrities you should hack and cause a bit of havoc with the one person you really do not want to mess with is the new president of American, Obama. Seriously, as if you are going to mess with him. Jack Baeur will be right on your case with this one. As everyone knows Obama only got elected because of 24 and President Palmer.
This thing that Yoast allowed on his blog by Andre Sholten, The best thing to come out of Holland since Dirk Kuyt has caused a shedload of work for the marketing department with this neat trick you can do in Google Analytics

This thing about Sky in 3d, George Lucas is remaking star wars in 3d don’t cha know. So worth keeping our eye on this just for that alone.
